A very sincere thank you to our valued patients, friends, donors, and participants in this year’s Purple Stride Sioux Falls -the walk to end Pancreatic Cancer.
East Ridge Dental would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude. Giving back to our community is a key part of our company core values and mission statement.
We have been deeply touched by our patients who have shared their personal stories on the impact Pancreatic Cancer has made on their lives, and on the lives of their loved ones.
We have also been amazed at the generosity of the participants and donors who helped us work toward achieving our goal. Special mention to Escape 605, The Flower Mill, and The Cake Lady Sioux Falls, who donated fun prizes on social media to enhance our efforts!
They say tragedy can bring people together, and I believe it’s true. The impact of losing someone we loved to Pancreatic Cancer has changed us forever. While grief can be all consuming, we have chosen to cope with the loss by doing something to help others facing a similar situation.
East Ridge Dental has found a “home” in helping to sponsor Purple Stride Sioux Falls. We have found a new “mission” to improve outcomes for those battling Pancreatic Cancer and demand better for future research and treatment. Today patients with this diagnosis are facing a 9% five year survival rate.
PanCan or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, and a host of amazing people affected by this disease have really come together with the community of Sioux Falls. It has been a privilege to work with them and we look forward to a continued relationship in bringing Purple Stride to Sioux Falls again next year.
If you know someone who has been affected by Pancreatic Cancer, I encourage you to reach out, share information about the event, and if you weren’t able to join us this year. Consider marking it on your calendar for next June 2019.
